The Nassau County Stadium, New York, which hosted eight matches of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is set to be disassembled as the city of NY bids goodbye to the T20 World Cup 2024 after a successful leg of fixtures. 

United States of America became the center stage for the cricketing world for the first time during this tournament as they co-hosted an ICC event alongside the West Indies and Nassau County stadium served as a venue that produced thrillers after thrillers.

However, post the World Cup, the stadium situated in Eisenhower Park which was built in record time to be the temporary turf with drop-in pitches from Adelaide will bid adieu to the sport.

Initially, MI New York being the home team of the city, the Major League Cricket (MLC) was planning to host some games of the season 2 at the venue but due to the disinterest of the MLC authorities and the franchise, the prospect wasn’t discussed much.

The city of New York, nevertheless, will have a premier venue for cricket but it is highly unlikely that it is going to be this stadium. Ambanis, the owners of MI franchises are reportedly planning to build a new stadium with world-class facilities in the city.
