NBA Futures: Best 2024-25 Win Total Bet for New York Knicks on DraftKings Sportsbook

The NBA Finals wrapped up just over a month ago, but we’re already looking ahead to next season.

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be breaking down my favorite over/under picks for a variety of teams around the association. Without further ado, let’s dive into my best bet for the New York Knicks.

The Nova Knicks are built to dominate in the regular season.

In case you’ve been living under a rock this offseason, the Knicks turned an already-formidable squad into a legitimate top three roster in the NBA.

Leon Rose has been playing the long game with his draft picks for a few years now, passing up on multiple big names to wait for the right guy to become available. That opportunity came along on the eve of the NBA Draft, as he offloaded five first-rounders, another first-round swap, a second-rounder and Bojan Bogdanovic to Brooklyn for star wing Mikal Bridges.

This reunited four members of the 2016 Villanova Wildcats squad that won the national championship in Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Donte DiVincenzo and Bridges. All of those players except Hart were also key contributors in Villanova’s 2018 NCAA title run.

New York also resigned their elite mid-season acquisition OG Anunoby, formally opening the title window fans have long been waiting for in the Big Apple.

Now, it is worth noting that the Knicks suffered a significant frontcourt loss in Isaiah Hartenstein, who signed a massive deal with the Thunder. Both Mitchell Robinson and Julius Randle have dealt with consistent injuries over the years, so that area may need to be addressed at some point. However, as long as one of them stays healthy, Tom Thibodeau has enough versatile pieces at his disposal to make things work.

It will be interesting to see how Thibs stacks his rotations. Does he elect to bring Robinson off the bench to make the most of his minutes, or will he roll with an elite combo of DiVincenzo and Hart as the sixth and seventh guys?

Regardless of what New York’s head coach decides, the Knicks are primed for a huge 2024-25 campaign. Not only do I expect them to cruise past this 52.5 total, but I also love their prospects of securing the most regular season wins, which you can take at +800 on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Western Conference is so stacked that I wouldn’t be shocked if its top seed only wins 54 or 55 games. In the East, the obvious favorites are the reigning champs in Boston. However, Kristaps Porzingis will be out until at least December, and all three of Jayson Tatum, Derrick White and Jrue Holiday are competing in the Olympics. As a result, I would expect Joe Mazzulla to play the long game and be conservative with his stars’ minutes until the second half of the year. The Celtics could still contend for the top seed in the NBA even if this is the case, but things are shaping up nicely for the Knicks to put together a truly dominant regular season campaign.
