NBA Trade Rumors: Walker Kessler someone to watch for the New York Knicks
According to Ian Begley, Walker Kessler is a name to watch for the New York Knicks as a trade target this season.
Bismack Biyombo, JaVale McGee among available vet bigs who can provide NYK depth at center. More on that, Julius Randle’s excitement about this Knick team & other topics in this week’s Mailbag: https://t.co/iWW7IMgM2i

From Begley’s mailbag:
I’d keep an eye on Nik Richards in Charlotte as a possible trade candidate. Same goes for Walker Kessler in Utah. As ESPN’s Brian Windhorst noted, Robert Williams is a name to monitor. Maybe Jonas Valunciunas?
This was just a throwaway but we’ve seen some of these rumors start to leak more.
Begley is more connected to the Knicks than he is with the Jazz, so you can guess where his sources are likely coming from. That said, it’s something to monitor. Kessler had a strong rookie season for the Utah Jazz but a disappointing second year. There were also rumblings about him being unhappy about the team’s direction at one point.
Something happened between Walker Kessler and Will Hardy? Extend or explore the market on Lauri Markkanen? This clip is really something from Spence Checketts pic.twitter.com/fVb4xyGMIn

This could all be nothing, but it’s clear that Walker Kessler could potentially have an interesting season. Only the Jazz know exactly what things are like behind the scenes. So most of this should mostly be considered a rumor, and nothing more, that originates from the New York side. But there’s enough smoke on the Jazz side to make a note of this for future reference if things get rocky between Utah and Kessler.
