Net-a-porter Brings the Fashion Week Crowd Downtown to Eel Bar

Each year Net-a-porter takes over a New York hot spot for its annual fashion week party. This year, the newly opened Eel Bar in the Lower East Side was the setting, an opportunity for industry insiders and friends of the retailer to catch up amid the busy show schedule.

Guests at the lively late-afternoon party included Tiffany Haddish, Charlotte Lawrence, Ego Nwodim, Clara McGregor and Moses Ingram; models Veronica Webb, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Kate Love, Richie Shazam, Ruby Aldridge and Ivy Getty, and designers including Adam Lippes, Brandon Maxwell, Christopher John Rogers, Jennifer Fisher and Rebecca Vallance. Many guests were dressed in outfits featured in Net-a-porter’s “Power Play” campaign, which launched on the site Monday.

Net-a-porter signature cocktail “Alison’s Spicy Skinny Margarita” — named for the site’s interim chief executive officer Alison Loehnis — was on offer alongside bites from the restaurant, including patatas fritas and dulce, which were dispensed by a vintage vending machine.

Blood orange granitas served as a nightcap as guests headed out. The weekend was coming to a close, but fashion week was still far from over.
