They evened their record with a 24-17 victory as 4-point favorites at the Tennessee Titans in Week 2. QB Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 343 yards and 3 TDs with one interception in the first 2 games.

Patriots at Jets picks and predictions

Prediction

Jets 24, Patriots 13

Moneyline

PASS.

There’s no great value here.

The Patriots (+220) are hefty underdogs and showed their offensive struggles, scoring 7 points in the final 30 minutes against the Seahawks. They aren’t worth an upset play, but the Jets (-275) aren’t worth taking as an expensive favorites.

Against the spread

BET JETS -6 (-110).

The Patriots had just 125 passing yards against the Seahawks. The Jets are going to work to expose that weakness and have a much more well-rounded attack behind Rodgers.

New York covered against the Titans, is 1-0 ATS as a favorite and is averaging 21.5 points per game. The Patriots haven’t scored more than 20 yet this season and received a gift when the Bengals struggled to do anything in Week 1.

The Jets, at home, should be able to win by more than a touchdown. TAKE JETS -6 (-110).

Over/Under

BET UNDER 38.5 (-110).

The Patriots have a stout defense and have allowed 10 and 23 points (20 in regulation), and they are going to be down numerous offensive lineman which should mean they struggle to move the ball offensively.

While the Jets have a dynamic offense, they have yet to score more than 24 points in a game and may find it difficult to keep drives alive against an aggressive Patriots defense, one that limited Cincinnati to 154 passing yards in Week 1.

Expect both defenses to shine. BACK UNDER 38.5 (-110).
