Under New Jersey law, individuals convicted of crimes involving “moral turpitude” are generally barred from holding liquor licenses. “Moral turpitude” is defined as serious crimes involving dishonesty, fraud, or depravity.

The state’s Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control, which is conducting the review, has not provided further details. However, the Trump Organization has clarified that Donald Trump does not personally hold the liquor licenses or occupy officer or director positions in the entities possessing them. The organization emphasized the potential negative impact on employees dependent on these properties.

“These are some of the most iconic properties in the world, and reports like this do nothing but harm the thousands of hard-working Americans who derive their livelihoods from these spectacular assets,” the Trump Organization stated.

New York, NY — An off-duty New York City employee was arrested early Sunday morning in the 40th Precinct.

Sherice Carraway, a 35-year-old female School Safety Agent, was taken into custody at approximately 4:00 a.m. on June 16. She has been charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree.

Kearny, NJ — A crash and fuel spill occurred on the US 1&9 Truck Route southbound, north of Jacobus Avenue. The incident began at 8:02 a.m. on Monday and was last updated at 8:15 a.m.

As a result, one of the two southbound lanes is closed. Motorists are advised to expect delays and exercise caution while traveling through the area. The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJ DOT) is managing the situation.

Deal, NJ — A vehicle was stolen this morning from outside Deal Food. The vehicle had been left running with the keys inside.

Chesapeake, VA — Early this morning, Chesapeake Police officers responded to a call about a vehicle submerged in a pond in the 200 block of Red Cedar Court.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. on June 16, officers arrived to find the vehicle completely submerged. The police department’s dive team was dispatched and successfully retrieved the vehicle. An adult male inside was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Chesapeake Police Department.
