Sports Seriously
(This story was updated to add new information.)
After an atrocious offensive performance in Week 1, the Cleveland Browns bounced back to defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2. While the offense still looked underwhelming, with quarterback Deshaun Watson compiling only 5.5 yards per pass attempt in the game, it was at least a step in the right direction after Watson posted a QBR against Dallas that would’ve been higher had he just thrown the ball into the dirt every play.
Now, they’ll look to improve to 2-1 against the New York Giants, one of only eight teams in the NFL to start the season 0-2. It hasn’t been a pretty 0-2 either. Sure, first-round draft pick Malik Nabers broke out for the first big game of his NFL career in Week 2, but the Giants also became the first team in NFL history to score three touchdowns, not allow a single touchdown and still lose. Even when everything goes right, the Giants can’t seem to win games. They’ll look to change their fortune in Week 3.
Here are our experts’ predictions for this Week 3 showdown.

Lorenzo Reyes: Browns 23, Giants 9
Can Daniel Jones and the Giants offense be trusted to put up points? I don’t feel good about it. Can they be trusted to do it against the Cleveland defense and that pass rush? I feel great about the opposite being the case.
Tyler Dragon: Browns 20, Giants 10
Deshaun Watson showed moderate improvement in Week 2. If he can continue to improve and get back to the QB he was in Houston, the Browns should be legitimate contenders in the AFC North. The winless Giants are figuring out this year that Daniel Jones is probably not their franchise quarterback. Expect Myles Garrett to make a big impact in this game. He has two sacks going into Week 3.
Richard Morin: Browns 27, Giants 12
Cleveland had a statement win and keeps the momentum going through Week 3. Feel comfortable taking the Browns and the points here.
Jordan Mendoza: Browns 17, Giants 10
The Giants remain a mess on offense even with Malik Nabers looking like a bright spot. Myles Garrett enjoys sacking Daniel Jones more than once in a win.”
