New York Giants at Seattle Seahawks: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 5 game
NFL Overreactions Week 4
Mackenzie Salmon breaks down some of the biggest games from NFL week 4.
Sports Seriously
Two teams coming off disappointing primetime performances will try to turn it around in Week 5 with the New York Giants (1-3) facing the Seattle Seahawks (3-1).
The Giants still can’t figure out how to beat the Dallas Cowboys after they were handed their seventh-straight loss to the rival. While the record doesn’t show it, the offense is improving and could be what gets the season headed in the right direction.
Seattle is no longer undefeated after the Detroit Lions’ offense put on a clinic during “Monday Night Football.” Despite the loss, the offense showed its capable of explosive plays and will hope to continue the trend to get back on the winning track.

Lorenzo Reyes: Seahawks 27, Giants 18
Aside from their season opener, the Giants have been fairly competitive in their games. Seattle, though, has a revamped defense that does a pretty good job of turning teams away on third downs — despite Week 4’s loss against the Lions. I just don’t trust New York’s offense to keep pace here.
Tyler Dragon: Seahawks 24, Giants 20
Giants WR Malik Nabers is first player in the Super Bowl era with at least 30 receptions, 300 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns in his first four career games. He was concussed during last week’s loss. Nabers won’t be enough for New York to beat Seattle if he’s healthy or not. The Seahawks will be motivated to get back to the victory column after suffering their first defeat last week.
Jordan Mendoza: Seahawks 26, Giants 18
While it resulted in a loss, Seattle is capable of having a big day on offense. New York’s offense is decent, but the Seattle defense mixed with the home crowd should keep the Giants away from making any big plays.
