The New York Giants reportedly are showing interest in UFL star return specialist and wide receiver Juwann Manigo.
According to a report from AtoZ Sports, the Giants have “recently been in contact” with the former return man for the Arlington Renegades.
Though Manigo doesn’t seem to offer much as a wide receiver, evident from his 32 yards in 10 games, he does have a knack for strong returns on special teams.
Manigo’s 954 yards on kick returns during the 2023 UFL season ranked second in the league, and his 135 yards on punt returns ranked sixth. He averaged 22.18 yards per kick return.
At 5-foot-7, Manigo likely wouldn’t carve out a role on offense but with the NFL’s new changes on kickoffs, he could make an impact on special teams.
The Giants already signed one former UFL player this offseason in the form of running back Jacob Saylors.
