New York Giants hire franchise great to staff as team scout | Sporting News

The New York Giants are hiring former offensive lineman Chris Snee to the staff as a team scout, per multiple reports Monday night.

Snee has long wanted to join the Giants ranks since he retired in 2013. He spent 10 seasons with the Giants after becoming the No. 34 overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft out of Boston College.

Snee wound up becoming one of the best offensive linemen in Giants history. He helped forge an offensive line that paved the way to two Super Bowl victories (XLII and XLVI).

He was an All-Pro First-Team selection in 2008 and was a four-time Pro Bowl selection (2008-2010, 2012). Snee also was inducted into the Giants’ Ring of Honor in 2015, just two years after he retired.

After hanging up his spikes, Snee spent time as a scout with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019 under former Giants head coach Tom Coughlin, who was then the executive vice president.

Snee has worked with his alma mater, Boston College, for the past two seasons as an analyst.
