The New York Giants are getting prepared for the 2024 season. Rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers has been turning heads already for the Giants in training camp and has been making plays. A lot of New York fans are excited to see him in live game action this season.

Nabers is not the only wide receiver who has played well in training camp. Jalin Hyatt and Wan’Dale Robinson have also performed well in camp. There have been major questions about quarterback Daniel Jones entering the 2024 season. A lot of fans are excited about the wide receiver core, but they are upset about the fact Jones has to be the quarterback once again this season.

The Giants may try to find a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft. That is a long time away, but they are looking forward to seeing what can transpire in 2024.

Bleacher Report Writer Gary Davenport Thinks That New York Giants Wide Receiver Malik Nabers Will Be a Fantasy Bust In 2024

Many fantasy football owners can not wait to draft the Giants rookie sensation this season. A lot of people think he has the potential to be a Top 10 to Top 15 wide receiver in the NFL by the end of the 2024 season. However, Bleacher Report writer Gary Davenport thinks that Nabers is one of nine potential players this season who could very well be a fantasy bust. Davenport said:

“This writer has already mentioned more than once that while Marvin Harrison Jr. is a wildly talented young wide receiver, he’s being overvalued in fantasy drafts. It isn’t a great idea to selecting a wideout who has yet to catch an NFL pass inside the top 10 at the position.

The same holds true for Malik Nabers of the New York Giants in 2024, albeit for a slightly different reason.

While appearing on the All Facts No Brakes podcast (via Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk), teammate Darius Slayton paid New York’s first pick in the 2024 draft some high praise.

“He’s looked good,” Slayton said. “Honestly in my opinion he reminds me of Ja’Marr Chase, it’s like a clone. Malik’s about six-foot, they’re about the same size. Dimensionally they’re about the same, his body movements, it’s actually kind of weird watching him move around. He’s really talented, he’s got good hands.””

Davenport may not be wrong about taking a risk on a player who has yet to play a down in the NFL, but Nabers is going to be the number-one receiving option on the New York Giants this season. Yes, there may be questions about Daniel Jones being the quarterback, but Nabers is going to many targets this season. LSU Tigers wide receivers have been successful at the NFL level.

Malik Nabers of the New York Giants is a special talent. He had 1,569 yards receiving and eight touchdowns last season. Nabers can easily go over 1,000 yards and have several touchdowns this season. This is an extremely bold prediction. The only way he is a bust is if the offensive line is horrendous again or if he is injured. It is hard to believe Nabers will be a fantasy football bust.
