The New York Giants rookie class is set to report for training camp Tuesday at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford.
With the rookies set to report Tuesday, the veterans aren’t obligated to show up to training camp until July 24.
This extra week should help the rookie class get a bit acclimated before diving straight into preparation for the 2024 season.
The rookie class should have a solid impact for the Giants in 2024. Led by sensational wide receiver Malik Nabers, the Giants could have a handful of starters and key role players on the depth chart.
Nabers already finds himself as the WR1 in the offense. Second-round pick Tyler Nubin is expected to compete for one of the starting safety spots during the preseason.
Meanwhile, tight end Theo Johnson should compete for a starting role following the retirement of Darren Waller.
Third-round cornerback Andru Phillips is in the mix for the nickel role in Shane Bowen’s defense, and fifth-round running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. has the chance to earn the backup role in the backfield.
Regardless, we’re one step closer to getting football on Sundays.
