The New York Giants held a workout for free-agent cornerback Gregory Junior on Monday just before the roster cut deadline.
Junior, 25, was a sixth-round pick with the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2022 NFL Draft, spending his first two seasons in the league in Duval.
An Ouachita Baptist product, Junior has appeared in 10 career games, recording 17 tackles (11 solo), one pass defensed and two tackles for loss.
Junior spent the majority of his rookie season on the Jaguars practice squad before getting the call up late in the 2022 season.
He then spent most of the 2023 season on the Reserve/Injured list due to a hamstring injury. He was recently waived by the Jaguars earlier this month with an injury designation due to a knee injury.
Junior has played a total of 111 snaps on defense and 111 snaps on special teams during his two seasons.
The Giants have a young cornerback room that has questionable depth so this may be something to keep an eye on.
