Sports Seriously
The NFL is headed back to Germany, and it’ll bring two struggling teams in the New York Giants (2-7) and Carolina Panthers (2-7).
Life for the Giants continues to be a struggle after New York dropped its fourth-straight game, with the latest defeat coming at the hands of the Washington Commanders. It’s starting to look like the Giants are headed for a top 10 pick, meaning decisions need to be made soon about the future of the team.
Every team in the league has at least two wins after Carolina ended a five-game losing streak and beat the New Orleans Saints. It was the first win for Bryce Young this season, and that hopefully gives him optimism about remaining a starting quarterback.

Lorenzo Reyes: Giants 19, Panthers 10
I would stay away from this game, though the Panthers have been better as of late. I think what carries New York over the top is its pass rush, which leads the NFL with 35 sacks. Carolina’s offensive line has struggled this season, and the Panthers, similarly, have been deficient along the defensive line, where Carolina is tied for second-to-last in sacks.
Tyler Dragon: Giants 17, Panthers 16
A battle between a couple of two-win teams. The football in Germany will probably be ugly but somebody has to win (we hope). Bryce Young has played better in his past two starts. The Giants have lost four in a row, but WR Malik Nabers and Tyrone Tracy will make the difference.
Richard Morin: Panthers 16, Giants 7
Not sure this one is worth waking up early. I still think both teams have solid playmakers ― the Giants’ Malik Nabers and the Panthers’ Ja’Tavion Sanders ― but in the end it’ll be Carolina who comes out ahead in an ugly one.
Jordan Mendoza: Giants 17, Panthers 13
It’s a shame an international crowd will have to watch this. While last week was a win the Panthers needed, the momentum doesn’t carry across the Atlantic Ocean. A big game from Malik Nabers gives New York the victory.
