New York Giants vs. Cleveland Browns prediction: Who wins NFL Week 3 matchup?

CLEVELAND — The NFL season got off on the wrong foot for the Browns in Week 1 when the Dallas Cowboys rolled to a 33-17 win in Cleveland. However, the Browns avoided the dreaded 0-2 start by going to Jacksonville last Sunday and holding off the Jaguars for an 18-13 win.

Now, the Browns will get a chance to put together a winning streak when they play host to the 0-2 New York Giants.

Here’s how the three writers who follow the Browns for us, Chris EasterlingNate Ulrich and Dan Kadar, view the team’s Week 3 home game.

Browns vs. Giants prediction: Who wins in NFL Week 3 Sunday afternoon?

EASTERLING: It’s Giants quarterback Daniel Jones against this Browns defense. That just seems like a potential recipe for disaster. Cleveland’s offense hasn’t proven it’s turned the corner from the opening disaster, but it feels like it at least takes a step forward this week without stepping on a rake. BROWNS 20, GIANTS 10

ULRICH: Browns offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. appears to be getting healthier, meaning maybe, just maybe, the O-line will receive a boost. Meanwhile, Amari Cooper is going to eventually start catching Deshaun Watson’s passes when they hit his hands, right? Either way, the defense should be able to control this matchup. BROWNS 27, GIANTS 21

KADAR: If the Browns can’t beat the hapless Giants at Huntington Bank Field — where the Cleveland defense dominates — they are in trouble. This is the type of game a playoff team makes look easy. Are the Browns a playoff team? BROWNS 31, GIANTS 7
