New York Knicks fans loving Jalen Brunson

Jalen Brunson signed with the Knicks as a free agent in 2022 after spending four years with the Mavericks after being drafted.

And he has not looked back, with Brunson helping to turn the Knicks from also-rans into a play-off team in the Eastern Conference.

And fans were loving his performance last night, taking to social media to express their excitement over the way he is playing, particularly his assists.

One Knicks supporter wrote: “Jalen Brunson in one season went from prime Steph curry to prime Chris Paul.”

A second wrote: “I don’t know if it’s because of the influx of talent on the roster, but Jalen Brunson has been DEEP in his playmaking bag this season.”

Another added: “Jalen Brunson finding his groove spells doom for the rest of the league.”

“Are people still doubting Jalen Brunson’s abilities?”, another asked, with another writing: “Man this is a masterclass by Jalen Brunson.”

Another out out a very bold claim, writing: “I’ll tell you what…. Jalen Brunson is going down as the greatest Knick of all time. I said what I said.”

Jalen Brunson is top 10 for assists

Jalen Brunson is averaging 7.1 assists per game, which puts him ninth overall for the season, with Nikola Jokic leading the league with 11.7.

It is an improvement on last season where Brunson’s 6.7 average assists saw him finish 13th in the NBA.

The addition of Karl-Anthony Towns has added a new dimension to the Knicks’ game, with the team still figuring out how to maximize their strengths.

Brunson only needed to play 30 minutes against the Wizards, getting some rest ahead of their next game against the Phoenix Suns.
