New York Knicks have just managed what no team has ever done before in NBA history, it’s seriously impressive

A huge night from Jalen Brunson saved the New York Knicks from embarrassment against the Washington Wizards.

The New York Knicks extended their six-game win streak to seven, after a real scare against the Eastern Conference‘s lowest ranked team.

The Knicks required overtime to beat the Washington Wizards 136-132, extending their record to 22-10 for the season.

Jalen Brunson was the star, scoring 55 points against the now 5-24 Wizards, pushing his team to rally back and tie the game with a 29-21 fourth quarter.

Knicks create history

The New York Knicks have created a slice of NBA history, following Jalen Brunson’s 55 points, his biggest score of the season.

Now, the Knicks have become the first NBA team ever to have four different players score 40 points or more in a single game, before January.

Bridges scored 41 in the Knicks’ dramatic Christmaas Day victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

The numbers show the real strength in depth the Knicks possess. Josh Hart, the fifth Knicks starter, has a high game this season of 23.

Jalen Brunson record

The big night for Jalen Brunson was not his biggest career performance, although it was his biggest this season.

Brunson’s career-best is 61 points, scored against the San Antonio Spurs in March – and the Knicks did not win the game. The NBA record for a player scoring the most without winning a game is 78 points.

The Knicks have one more game to close out the year, facing the Washington Wizards again.
