New York Knicks vs Washington Wizards Prediction, Odds and Picks

This will be the second straight meeting between the New York Knicks and the Washington Wizards. The first was decided in overtime, with the Knicks prevailing 136-132 thanks to a 55-point performance from Jalen Brunson. The teams combined for 238 points during regulation and could be set to have another high scoring battle on Monday. Brunson is listed as questionable to play due to calf tightness. But considering he last played on Saturday and he is yet to miss the game this season, it would be surprising to see him sit out. Jordan Poole carries the same designation for the Wizards. He could be a welcome addition to their offense after he missed Saturday’s matchup.

The Knicks have remained an offensive juggernaut, ranking 2nd in offensive rating over the last 10 games. Going up against one of the worst defensive teams, ranking 28th in defensive rating during that stretch, should help them improve on their run of 3 games scoring at least 130-points over their last 6 efforts. With the home team being 4th in the league in pace during that time, too, there should be no shortage of possessions once more. Over that stretch of games both teams are in the bottom 10 of the league in opponent points in the paint. If both give up easy looks inside, the points should rack up once more tonight. I’m backing the over.
