The 100 musicians of the New York Philharmonic have ratified a contract that will bring them 30-percent raises within three years, putting them on a par with other prominent orchestras.
The 3-year deal with Local 802 of the American Federation of Musicians, ratified by members Friday, includes raises of about 15 percent in 2024-25, and 7.5 percent each in 2025-26 and 2026-27. Base pay will have increased to $205,000 by the deal’s final year. The contract runs through Sept. 20, 2027.
