New York Rangers Recall Matt Rempe
The New York Rangers have recalled forward Matt Rempe from the Hartford Wolf Pack, per the AHL transactions page.
Rempe was loaned to the AHL on Thursday night in order to get him more playing time. He went pointless, registered two shots and was -3 in two games with Hartford over the weekend.

The 22-year-old has no points in two NHL games this season, logging only 11:17 of total ice time.
Whether or not Rempe jumps back into the Rangers lineup remains to be seen, but Jimmy Vesey’s impending return will not make it easier.
With an injury to Brennan Othmann there is an opening for playing time in Hartford’s top-six for the foreseeable future, so we could see Rempe sent down for the Wolf Pack’s games next weekend.
“Playing in New York, every time Rempe was on the ice, there was just like a huge cheer.”
The rate of fighting in the #NHL has dropped over the past couple of seasons despite the emergence of Matt Rempe. @Michael_Traikos has more, ICYMI:https://t.co/GDEQR8vq9R
