NFL News: Jets make drastic decision to help Aaron Rodgers after tough start

After a challenging start to the NFL season for Aaron Rodgers, The New York Jets made an unexpected decision regarding the future of the franchise this season. The recent loss to the Minnesota Vikings was the catalyst for this move.

According to NFL reporter Tom Pelissero via his X (formerly Twitter) account, head coach Robert Saleh has been fired and will not continue to lead the Jets this season. Pelissero stated: “The #Jets fired Robert Saleh, per sources.”

In this way, the coach concludes three years and a half at the helm of a team that experienced a lackluster run during his tenure. The poor start to this season and a challenging relationship with his players ultimately led the franchise’s leadership to make this decision.

This season, the Jets started with a loss to the 49ers, followed by two consecutive victories against the Tennessee Titans and the New England Patriots. However, in their last two outings, they fell to the Denver Broncos and most recently to the Minnesota Vikings.
