NFL Week 14 Inactives: Who’s in, who’s out for Saints and Giants

Injuries have been mounting for the Giants since they last took the field.

Two-time Pro Bowler Dexter Lawrence was placed on injured reserve after he suffered a dislocated left elbow in the Thanksgiving Day loss in Dallas.

Lawrence was one of three defensive linemen hurt against the Cowboys. Rakeem Nuñez-Roches sustained a stinger in the second half and D.J. Davidson was limited to 10 snaps after hurting his shoulder.

A week earlier, outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari (toe) was also placed on injured reserve.

Nuñez-Roches was one of three players ruled out on the Giants’ final Week 14 injury report. The others were cornerback Deonte Banks (rib) and inside linebacker Bobby Okereke (back).

Two players were listed as doubtful: defensive lineman D.J. Davidson (shoulder/later placed on injured reserve) and offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (quad). Six more were questionable: offensive tackles Christopher Hubbard (knee) and Evan Neal (hip), wide receiver Malik Nabers (hip), inside linebacker Dyontae Johnson (ankle), cornerback Dru Phillips (shoulder), and defensive lineman Jordon Riley (knee).

Johnson, who turned heads in training camp before he sprained his ankle in the preseason opener, returned from injured reserve this week.

Johnson spent the entire 2023 season on the Giants’ practice squad after joining the team as an undrafted rookie from Toledo, where he played in 57 games across five seasons. He has yet to appear in a regular-season game in the NFL.

The Giants also made the following moves on Saturday:

Free Agent Signing from NYG Practice Squad:

  • DL Elijah Garcia
  • DL Casey Rogers

Activated from Practice Squad (Standard Elevation):

  • T Tyre Phillips
  • CB Greg Stroman
