No Giants named to NFL.com’s All-Rookie offense

The New York Giants secured impactful players in the 2024 NFL Draft, like WR Malik Nabers, who is anticipated to make significant contributions in his rookie season.

Despite selecting the highly touted receiver sixth overall, Nabers was left off NFL.com’s Chad Reuters 2024 All-Rookie Team projections list.

The projected receivers are Marvin Harrison Jr. from Arizona and Xavier Worthy from Kansas City.

It’s easy to see why Harrison Jr. could be an All-Rookie selection. He was considered the best receiver in April’s draft and was the first wideout chosen.

Meanwhile, Xavier Worthy brings record-breaking speed and returning abilities and ends up in a perfect situation, catching passes from a three-time Super Bowl MVP.

However, based on talent and skill set, Nabers brings plenty to make an arguable case for an All-Rookie selection in 2024

The former Unanimous All-American possesses exceptional athleticism, explosiveness, separation, and ability to run after catch. The 6-foot, 199-pound playmaker will bring much-needed versatility to the Giants’ offense. He lined up all over the Tigers’ offense as an X receiver, flanker, and in the slot.

Nabers finished his collegiate career by leading the FBS in receiving yards with 1,569, catching 89 passes and scoring 14 touchdowns.

The Giants have searched for a true number-one wide receiver since trading away Odell Beckham Jr. in 2019. Nabers could be the go-to guy quarterback Daniel Jones will look to help elevate the Giants’ offense.

Similar to Beckham Jr’s rookie season, Nabers is joining an offense that will heavily rely on him to make first-round-like plays, which could lead to a potential breakout rookie season.

The rookie wide receiver could also impact his fellow receiving teammates, such as third-year receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, who showed promise late in the last season, and Darius Slayton, who has been the Giants’ leading receiver the past two seasons.
