Sports Seriously
As many expected, the Giants didn’t stand a chance in a 35-14 loss to the Ravens in Week 15.
With more planes flying overhead of MetLife with messages for co-owner John Mara, the G-Men allowed two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson to throw for more touchdowns (5) than incompletions (4), as he carved up Big Blue’s defense all afternoon long in Baltimore’s three touchdown victory in the Meadowlands.
The Giants are now in position to have one of the top selections in the 2025 NFL Draft currently slated to have the second overall pick next April, according to Tankathon.com, which projects the order of the draft based on standings and strength of schedule (SOS).
One of the biggest underdogs of the weekend yet again, can the G-Men pull off a massive upset over the slumping .500 Falcons trying to stay alive in the NFC playoff picture?

Here are our predictions for Giants vs. Falcons in Week 16:
Art Stapleton
The pick: Falcons 23, Giants 13
Here’s why: The Giants have lost nine straight games. That’s the bad news. The good news? Well, if you want to believe in something, it’s that the only two wins have come on the road. The quarterback position has been a carousel yet again, as Brian Daboll might be forced to start four quarterbacks, the first time for Big Blue in a non-strike season since 1950. Tim Boyle, signed as a free agent last month, finished Sunday’s loss to the Ravens and could start this week with Tommy DeVito (concussion protocol) and Drew Lock (heel) likely unavailable. The Falcons are turning to rookie QB Michael Penix Jr. – who the Giants passed on – and Murphy’s Law says that, this season, Penix will light them up. It’s been that kind of year.
Bert Bainbridge
The pick: Falcons 27, Giants 13
Here’s why: Yes, the Falcons barely were able to hold to beat a lowly Raiders team on Monday night. They’re also on a short week and have benched QB Kirk Cousins (1:9 TD-to-INT ratio over his last five games) in favor of No. 8 overall pick Michael Penix Jr. Still, even in Penix’s debut, Atlanta should have minimal issues against a Giants defense that has surrendered 26 or more points in six of their previous eight contests leading up to this one.
After facing a slew of talented defensive units (Broncos, Chargers and Vikings) since Week 11, the Falcons put together their best effort in quite some time in a wire-to-wire victory back at home to give the G-Men a new franchise record of 10 consecutive losses.
Brian Marron
The pick: Falcons 24, Giants 13
Here’s why: The Giants aren’t good enough to beat anybody right now, and that definitely includes a team fighting for a postseason berth. The Falcons should have no issues in this one.
Bob Jordan
The pick: Falcons 31, Giants 7
Here’s why: We’re so deep into tank mode, it would be an outrage if the Giants don’t immediately roll over.
Dave Rivera
The pick: Falcons 26, Giants 13
Here’s why: We’re seeing the same thing each week with the Giants: their offense just can’t produce the points to compete with anybody. While the Falcons barely got past the Raiders on Monday night, they’ll be sharp enough to keep the Giants down.
Steve Edelson
The pick: Falcons 35, Giants 10
Here’s why: The Giants deserve the first pick in the NFL Draft because they truly look like the worst team in football right now, with a non-competitive offense that makes winning virtually impossible. And the Falcons need this game!
Chris Iseman
The pick: Falcons 31, Giants 10
Here’s why: The Giants are terrible. There’s no reason to think they’ll get by Atlanta. Or anyone for that matter.
