The Knicks just kept coming back for more when injuries struck or the Pacers made a run in Games 1 and 2, which is the quality that fueled back-to-back wins at Madison Square Garden. Top scorer left Game 2 with a foot injury, but returned to play 32 minutes and score 29 points on 11-of-18 shooting. Guard Donte DiVincenzo and forward OG Anunoby both finished with 28 as the Knicks shot a scorching 57 percent from the floor in the 130-121 victory.

The Pacers were smart and efficient as well in that contest, which kept them in the game but ultimately couldn’t overcome a dogged Knicks team rallying around Brunson. Tyrese Haliburton busted out of his shell from Game 2 and finished with 34 points, including 7-of-11 from 3, with 9 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Perhaps a move back to the Hoosier State can help add a spark the Pacers could use to climb back into the series.
