NYC agency to host ‘Hiring Hall’ on Staten Island: Here’s what job-seekers need to know
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) is hosting a Staten Island Hiring Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 30, offering borough residents exclusive opportunities to work for the City of New York and a range of other private employers.
“These hiring halls provide valuable opportunities for New Yorkers to connect with city agencies and private employers, offering on-the-spot interviews, access to workforce development programs, and SBS resources,” a spokesperson for the SBS noted.
The event will be held at the Gerard Carter Center, located at 230 Broad St. in St. George. It will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Services available include:
- Opportunities to work for the City of New York
- Face time with private employers across the city
- Access to workforce development trainings and programs
- Connections to resources, including public benefits
