Odell Beckham Jr. has had a fascinating career, first entering the career as a superstar wide receiver then becoming a trusted veteran as he aged. While the wide receiver is currently a depth option for the Dolphins, he was once a premier receiver in the NFL.

While Beckham’s best seasons came with the Giants, his most successful year was probably 2021, when he helped the Rams win the Super Bowl. On Monday night, Beckham returns to Los Angeles for the first time since playing for the Rams, a fitting way to close his Super Bowl story.

How many teams has Odell Beckham Jr. played for?

Beckham has played for five teams in his NFL career:

Years Team
2014-18 New York Giants
2019-21 Cleveland Browns
2021 Los Angeles Rams
2023 Baltimore Ravens
2024 Miami Dolphins

Beckham began his career as a Giant, where he established himself as one of the best wide receivers in the game. In four of his five seasons with New York, Beckham surpassed 1,000-yards receiving, making three pro bowls along the way and winning the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2014.

Despite signing Beckham to a five-year, $90 million extension in 2018, New York traded him to the Browns ahead of the 2019 season. Beckham had another strong year in 2019, totaling over 1,000 receiving yards again, but dealt with injuries and drama in both 2020 and 2021 that led to Cleveland releasing him midseason.

After the Browns let him go, Beckham signed with the Rams for the home stretch in 2021, and he proved vital to Los Angeles’ Super Bowl run. In the playoffs, Beckham had 21 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns before tearing his ACL in the Super Bowl, but his effort was enough to help the Rams win a title.

Beckham sat out during the 2022 season as he rehabbed his knee injury, but he returned last year with the Ravens. The veteran produced 565 yards for the top team in the AFC but clearly wasn’t the player he used to be. Then, in the spring, Beckham signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins, and has three catches for 15 yards on the season.

Odell Beckham Jr. career earnings

When Beckham first entered the league, the wide receiver played on a four-year, $10.4 million contract with New York that included a fifth-year option for $21 million. Then, Beckham signed his big extension in 2018, agreeing to a five-year, $90 million deal that he would play under with both the Giants and Browns.

However, he wouldn’t reach the full earnings of that contract since Cleveland released him halfway through that deal, only earning around $46 million with the Browns. From there, Beckham would sign a series of one-year deals, including for $1.25 million with the Rams, $15 million in Baltimore, and $3 million in 2024 for the Dolphins. Beckham also earned around $4.5 million in incentives in his career.

In total, according to Spotrac, Beckham has earned $101.9 million throughout his career.
