Pakistan team gets new hotel in New York after PCB complaint
LAHORE: The ICC has relocated the Pakistan cricket team to a new hotel in New York following a complaint lodged by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The initial hotel placement, requiring a 90-minute commute to the match venue, sparked concerns from the PCB. According to a source at the PCB, Chairman Mohsin Naqvi raised the issue of the long travel time.
Consequently, the ICC moved the team to a hotel situated just five minutes from the stadium in Westbury, Long Island. Pakistan is scheduled to play several group matches in New York, including the highly anticipated clash against India on June 9 and against Canada on June 11. The source also highlighted that the Indian team, also playing group matches in New York, is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the stadium.
