FAIRFAX, VA. – The George Mason women’s soccer team (1-9-2, 0-3-1 A-10) travel to New York for their Sunday match up against St. Bonaventure (1-9-2, 0-3-1 A-10) Sunday, October 6rth, at 1 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
George Mason brought the energy in their Thursday match up against La Salle. The Patriots tallied the first goal of the game in the 16th minute scored by Katelyn O’Donnell, her second of the season; assisted by Ariana Bliven, her first assist of the season. The explorers first goal came in the 51st minute by Alexis Garcia assisted by Haley Gschrey, and Elizabeth Estrada.
In the second half, Molly Starner recorded her first goal of the season off the goal post; assisted by Sydney Dacus which is her first assist of the season. The Explorers tied the game in the 68th minute with a goal from DiElmo assisted by Haley Gschrey. The excitement of the game was goalkeeper Victoria Coninck recording 10 saves on the day compared to La Salle’s two. Victoria’s biggest save of the match was a penalty kick that would’ve been the Explorers game-winning goal.
La Salle had the advantage in corner kicks 10-1 and in total shots 31-8. George Mason had the advantage in saves 10-2

The St. Bonaventure women’s soccer team fell to Davidson on Thursday evening at the Marra Athletics Complex. Three second half goals helped the visiting Wildcats to a 4-0 victory on a warm evening in Western New York
