Patriots vs. Jets result: Aaron Rodgers leads blowout win while Drake Maye makes garbage-time debut

If New York Jets fans were asked to realistically visualize how they wanted their “Thursday Night Football” game against the New England Patriots to go, it might have looked a lot like the actual game.

Led by a strong night from Aaron Rodgers, who was 27-of-35 for 281 yards and two touchdowns, the Jets steamrolled their old bullies 24-3 to improve their record to 2-1. Overall, they outgained the Patriots 400-139.

The Patriots offensive line allowed a brutal night for Jacoby Brissett, and they were later asked to protect No. 3 overall pick Drake Maye in his NFL debut. The former UNC star 4-of-8 for 22 passing yards, plus 12 rushing yards in a single drive.
