* The final period was a “move the ball” period with the defense competing to stop the offense from traversing the field for a score. Cornerback Deonte Banks started the series with a pass break-up on a short throw to Wan’Dale Robinson. Four plays later it was Okereke that got his hands on a pass over the middle, knocking it up high in the air into the hands of second year linebacker Dyontae Johnson. Two plays later, Daniel Jones rolled to his right to escape pressure, and threw a high-arching pass to wide receiver Jalin Hyatt, who came down with it just short of the goal line.

The best play of the drive was a pinpoint throw from Lock, who was rolling to his left before hitting wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins on the sideline. Hodgins did a nice job dragging his feet to secure the catch and stay in-bounds.

* Up front for the defense, tackle Rakeem Nunez-Roches had a strong run stop. Kayvon Thibodeaux, Azeez Ojulari and Boogie Basham found themselves in the backfield at different times throughout practice.
