The Proteas were given a warm welcome at Yankee Stadium as they painted New York green and gold on Wednesday.
South Africa’s opening three pool games of the ongoing T20 World Cup are held at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island, New York.
Upon arriving in New York last Saturday, the Proteas squad and members of management were treated to a special welcome dinner hosts by Cricket South Africa and the South African Consulate at the Long Island Marriott Hotel. Guests included Dilip Chauhan, the Deputy Commissioner for International Affairs in the NYC Mayor’s Office and Ogaufi Mampane, the South African Consulate-General in New York.
