R.M. Williams, Ngali head to New York Fashion Week 2025 – Ragtrader
Designers from twelve Australian fashion brands will be heading to New York Fashion Week in February next year thanks to a partnership between Australia Post and social initiative WeWearAustralian.
Each of the brands – including R.M.Williams, Ngali, Viktoria & Woods and Acler – will take part in a retail activation at NYFW, allowing them to connect with international buyers, media, fashion industry leaders and consumers.
Other brands involved include Bond-Eye, Christian Kimber, Jac + Jack, Mariam Seddiq, Morrison, R E L A X Remade, Vander Kooij, and Wah-Wah Australia.
“We’re thrilled to present such a diverse and talented group of Australian designers at New York Fashion Week,” WeWearAustralian co-founder Kelly Atkinson said.
“This initiative represents a tremendous opportunity to showcase our industry’s strength, creativity, and unique voice, and we’re grateful to Australia Post for their continued support in helping to elevate Australian fashion on a global stage.”
The We Wear Australian and Australia Post retail activation will be located in Soho and run for three days. The space will feature a floor covered with Australian red earth and tea tree spread across the walls and ceiling. Scent partner Lumira will add to the experience with its signature Terra Australis fragrance.
The three day shopping event will also spark the official launch of the WeWearAustralian campaign, which will promote 40 Australian brands digitally through its website and via wholesale platform JOOR.
According to WeWearAustralian, the partnership with Australia Post builds on recent success with another campaign launch earlier this year. This reportedly drove over 750 competition entries across participating brands, $350,000 in sales generated through the 12-day campaign, and more than 4 million impressions
More than 52,000 disadvantaged Australians were also supported through its ongoing partnership with Thread Together
“Australia Post is proud to partner with WeWearAustralian in showcasing our incredible designers at New York Fashion Week,” GM of parcel, post and e-commerce services Gary Starr said.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to promoting Australian talent and creativity on a global stage, helping local brands connect with international markets and consumers.”
