“Resting & Watching Chicago MED”: Charles Barkley Mocks Knicks Fans’ Worry Over Jalen Brunson’s Weird Injury Confusion
The New York Knicks won the tough-battled Game 2 against Indiana Pacers in MSG tonight. They faced an injury scare in Jalen Brunson early in the game, rendering him away from the court for the first half. Moreover, as OG Anunoby gripped their offense, the athletic wing stumbled onto a hamstring concern, ending his night in the last 4 minutes of the 3rd quarter. With that, the Knicks came through with their camaraderie, teamwork, and belief in each other. However, all they got in return was sardonic commentary and mockery; at least by Charles Barkley.
Barkley opened the post-game TNT telecast by citing that the Knicks will get “stomped by the Celtics,” in the next round. He then went on a rampage to belittle the Knicks’ ball game, hoping to lower its fans’ expectations. Barkley then inserted his snarky remarks as the crew went over the highlights of the game. This time around, Barkley’s mockery came at the expense of Jalen Brunson. There was confusion amongst fans about Brunson’s injury in the first quarter. Several sources claimed it was a hand issue, while others hinted at a foot concern. With that, on Brunson’s 1.5 quarters of absence, Chuck said, “Turns out to be nothing actually. He was resting, watching Chicago MED.”
