Rihanna ignores former pal Naomi Campbell in viral video from New York Fashion Week
Rihanna was seen ignoring her former friend Naomi Campbell in a viral video from New York Fashion Week shared on social media Friday.
In the video, which was posted by a fan on X, the “Umbrella” singer entered the Alaïa runway show to find her front-row seat. All eyes were on her as she dazzled in a crystal-covered mesh gown by the designer.
She could be seen greeting former British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful before carrying on and completely ignoring Campbell — who was also sitting in the front row alongside stylist Law Roach.
The supermodel appeared to be watching Rihanna make her grand entrance, as she looked up at her.
“Naomi Campbell and Rihanna really does h4te each other 😭,” the person who posted the clip wrote alongside the video.
“Rihanna said God forgives but I don’t lmao,” another fan wrote in the post’s thread, clearly intrigued by the snub speculation.
A third fan accused Campbell, 54, of giving Rihanna, 36, a “bombastic side eye.”
The fashion model and Grammy winner were certainly friends — or at least acquaintances —at one point.
They have been photographed together a handful of times and were even spotted grabbing an Italian dinner in May 2016.
However, fans have theorized that their friendship may have crumbled when Rihanna began dating billionaire Hassan Jameel in 2017.
The year prior, Campbell and Jameel had attended the British Summer Time Festival in London — though their own romance was never confirmed.
Rihanna and Campbell unfollowed each other on Instagram before the former’s relationship with Jameel was brought into the spotlight.
When asked about the potential drama during her October 2021 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” the “Zoolander 2” actress attempted to squash the feud rumors.
“Everything’s fine. Of course, it’s fine,” Campbell told host Andy Cohen at the time.
She then insisted, “I don’t have beef,” further explaining,”I don’t have beef especially with black women that I think are powerful and out there.”
Campbell then concluded, “We’re all in the same thing, doing the same struggle.”
Reps for both Rihanna and Campbell did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
