Rome Odunze NFL Draft odds: Giants, Jets could target star receiver

In an NFL Draft full of big-time wide receivers, Rome Odunze is near the top of the class.

The Washington product is seen by most draft experts as a likely top-10 pick, and the oddsboard at most major sportsbooks reflects that.

Odunze’s draft position over/under is 8.5 at FanDuel Sportsbook, with a ton of juice on the under (-180), suggesting that he is likely to be selected closer to the top five.

FanDuel has Odunze as the third-most likely player to be the first wide receiver drafted, Marvin Harrison Jr. (-1500) and Malik Nabers (+750).

But teams are still rumored to be extremely high on Odunze, despite the other two players having much better draft odds.

“There are teams that have Rome Odunze as the second- or even top-rated wide receiver in this draft,” NFL insider Adam Schefter said during an appearance on NFL Live last week. “He’s gonna go in the top 10 somewhere high.”

Oddsmakers have Odunze as most likely to go in the No. 9 draft slot (+150), where the Chicago Bears currently sit.

The Bears are almost assuredly picking USC quarterback Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick and could opt for a wide receiver to pair with their new franchise signal-caller.

Odunze is also the second-favorite (+300) to go in the No. 6 slot, where the New York Giants hold their first-round selection.

The Giants are widely believed to be in the market for a wide receiver at that spot but could go with Nabers or even Harrison if either are available.

Odunze is also being given a decent shot by oddsmakers to be the No. 7 pick (+800) and No. 8 pick (+650), respectively.

It’s highly unlikely that Odunze will fall out of the top 10, though, according to FanDuel.

He is -1500 to go within the top 10 picks at the sportsbook.
