Should fans of the Boston Celtics be afraid of the New York Knicks after the Karl-Anthony Towns trade? Much ado has been made about the deal, but not everyone thinks it is such a slam dunk for New York — including many fans of the Knicks! On one hand, the trade helps shore up a potentially fatal weakness in the team’s depth chart.

But on the other, the lack of depth New York now has on their roster as a result of that trade might have made the team a weaker contender than they were before the deal, especially if Towns ends up missing any significant time this season ahead. The hosts of the CLNS Media “Bob Ryan, Jeff Goodman, and Gary Tanguay!” podcast took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk themselves through the trade.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about KAT’s potential impact on the Celtics.
