Spirit Christmas Store Comes To Long Island As A ‘Test’

BOHEMIA, NY — There’s a new Spirit holiday pop-up store coming to Long Island and it’ll be replacing ghouls and goblins with everything Christmas.

Long Island’s first Spirit Christmas store is set to open in Bohemia’s Sayville Plaza in mid-November and will remain open “through the holidays,” Nikki Balles, Spirit’s senior director of PR, told Patch.

According to Balles, the Bohemia location is part of an “eight-store test,” which includes one other New York location in Poughkeepsie and six others across New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.

“Spirit Christmas is a new concept for us, and we’re hopeful it will resonate with our customers,” Balles said. “Our goal is to create a festive retail experience that captures the spirit of the season, much like we do for Halloween.”

Shoppers can expect the Christmas version of the Halloween pop-up, with the location “brimming with a vast assortment of holiday décor, apparel, inflatables, gifts, and stocking stuffers.”

Visitors will even find Santa on site and take their annual Christmas card photos. There will also be a life-sized gingerbread village where children can mail their letters to Santa at the North Pole.
