California streetwear brand Stüssy is set to make a comeback in New York City’s retail scene with the opening of a new flagship store in Manhattan’s Soho district.

The 5,600-square-foot store will be located at 50 Prince Street, a space previously occupied by independent bookstore McNally Jackson.

While the brand has yet to announce an official opening date, the new Soho flagship follows the successful launch of an Archive Store pop-up in Brooklyn this past spring, which showcased out-of-print collaborations and vintage classics for one month. Stüssy’s previous New York flagship, located at 176 Spring Street, closed in late 2023 after 14 years of operation.

The Manhattan store opening comes shortly after Stüssy expanded its global footprint with new flagship stores in Chengdu, China, and Milan, Italy, earlier this year.

Founded in 1984 by Shawn Stüssy and his associate Frank Sinitra Jr., Stüssy today has a global presence including in Asia with stores across China, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, and Singapore as well as in North America and Europe.
