The Coolest Kids Will Be Wearing Zara x Sea’s Debut Collaborative Collection

On Thursday, Zara and New York fashion label Sea are releasing a collaborative collection of adorable kids’ ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes that embrace Sea’s sought-after, bohemian-tinged DNA.

“We are Zara customers for our children and were honored when the team approached us for a collaboration. It gave us an opportunity to see into a different world and work on a scale which we are unfamiliar. We found the Zara team enthusiastic and lovely to work with, and their capabilities and approach from design to branding has been informative,” Sea founders Monica Paolini and Sean Monahan told WWD.

“We have been drawn to Zara’s engaging storytelling particularly through the kids’ collections so we were intrigued and curious when they approached us. It’s exciting to introduce Sea and this collection to a new audience,” they said.

The collection highlights the brand’s sense of ease and meaningful details, pulling inspiration from the duo’s lifelong friendship, spanning from growing up in Newburgh, N.Y., together as children into launching their fashion label in 2006.

They emphasized versatility and comfort, as well as a joyful spirit throughout the 28-style collection. Key pieces include a seashell patchwork dress, ditsy floral collar tank and doily baseball jacket. There are also on-trend crystal embellished Mary Jane flats.

The duo incorporated plenty of Sea’s signature craftsy details into the collection — on kaleidoscope-motif patchwork denim, a cool crochet bomber jacket, and lace-embroidered sportif track shorts, as seen in the campaign shot in New York by Quentin De Briey and styled by Thistle Brown.

The Zara x Sea collection, priced  $17.90 to $99.90, will be available on Zara’s e-commerce and in select stores, including a pop-up store in Southampton at 52 Jobs Lane, running through Sunday.
