The next generation of nepo babies has arrived — and they’re taking over NYFW runways
Move aside Kendall Jenner, Kaia Gerber and Gigi Hadid — the next generation of nepo babies are ruling the runways and stealing the crown as the newest “It” models.
Modeling the spring/summer 2025 collections for some of the biggest names in the business, celebrity children populated the catwalk for New York Fashion Week in front of star-studded crowds — including their beautiful, beaming parents.
At Ralph Lauren’s star-studded show last week, supermodel Christy Turlington, 55, and daughter Grace Burns, 20, both walked the Hamptons runway.
While following in her mother’s footsteps, Burns modeled a blue plaid number. Turlington followed in a knitted sheer white long-sleeve, a billowing white skirt and a Western-inspired belt, later changing outfits into a cream, cropped blazer and ripped jeans for her second trip down the catwalk.
When asked what the best part of the catwalk is, Burns told InStyle, “The fact that it’s live. You do the rehearsal once or twice beforehand, and even though you’re only walking, I love the feeling that anything can happen.”
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Brooke Shields sat in the front row at Tommy Hilfiger to watch her daughter, 18-year-old Grier Henchy, wear an all-black Tommy Hilfiger sundress while walking aboard the decommissioned Staten Island ferry, owned by Colin Jost and Pete Davidson.
“So proud of you,” Shields wrote on Instagram alongside video footage of her teen daughter’s runway debut.
Henchy is also a Tommy Hilfiger brand ambassador alongside nine other next-generation talents, per Women’s Wear Daily.
“I have always found great inspiration in collaboration with stars of pop culture to define what’s next,” Hilfiger told WWD at the time.
“These remarkable young people are future American icons and we are so happy to welcome them to our family. I can’t wait to see each of their own unique energy as we endlessly reinterpret the meaning of classic American cool.”
Dream Kardashian, the 7-year-old daughter of Rob Kardashian and Angela Renée White, formerly known as Blac Chyna, made her catwalk debut as well, walking for the brand Zeus & Lexi Kids on Sept. 7 just a day after launching her own Instagram account. On the runway, Dream sported a gray bomber jacket and blue, oversized jeans that shrouded most of her white sneakers.
Meanwhile, David Banda, the son of pop queen Madonna, also made his NYFW runway debut for Off-White, which showed for the first time in the Big Apple and hosted A-listers like Drake and Camilla Cabello in the front row.
While the 18-year-old model donned a collared, plaid vest and black trousers, his proud mom Madge has previously said he could “put on any outfit and look swag.”
“It’s really irritating,” the 66-year-old “Material Girl” told Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” back in 2022. “He wears my clothes and looks better in them. He can even wear a dress and look butch.”
While she was not present to see Banda on the catwalk, she posted a photo of herself on the way to the brand’s after-party later that evening, while also appearing front row on Tuesday night at the Luar show in Rockefeller Center after nearly toppling in her sky-high heels.
