The Top 9 Runway Trends From Spring 2025
New York City is a place that thrives on energy, and this season, there was plenty on the runways. The Spring 2025 shows at New York Fashion Week can only be described as big, optimistic, and electric. Ella Emhoff modeling for Coach in an “I Heart New York” T-shirt exemplified the optimistic, lively tone of the collections, which channeled the singular spirit of the city.
There was Ralph Lauren’s extravaganza at a horse farm in Bridgehampton and Alaïa’s epic takeover of the Guggenheim, as well as Olympic sprinter Noah Lyles walking at Willy Chavarria. And let’s not forget the Wu-Tang Clan performing on a Staten Island Ferry boat owned by Pete Davidson and Colin Jost at Tommy Hilfiger and Madonna’s dramatic appearance at Luar.
If the shows were both star-studded and surprising, so were the clothes, with fresh and inspired takes on transparency, asymmetry, volume, and sportswear, and standout collections from European entries like Alaïa, Off-White, and Toteme too. Here are some of our favorite looks and moments.
