Theo Johnson Selected By New York Giants In 4th Round
Earlier this afternoon, Theo Johnson became the fifth Penn State Nittany Lion to get drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft. The former Nittany Lion tight end is headed to the New York Giants after getting selected with the No. 107 pick.
At 6-foot-6, 264 pounds, Johnson was one of the more physically impressive Penn State athletes during James Franklin’s tenure. Johnson was stuck behind some pretty good tight ends during his early years — 2nd round picks in Pat Freiermuth and Brenton Strange. But Johnson put things together for a solid senior year, finishing the 2023 season with 34 receptions for 341 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Best of luck to Theo in New York/New Jersey.
