Travel advisories lifted in Lowville & Lewis County, but officials say to be cautious
LOWVILLE, New York (WWNY) – No-unnecessary-travel advisories have been lifted for the village of Lowville and parts of Lewis County.
The sheriff’s office issued an advisory Wednesday afternoon, saying drivers should avoid all roads south of the town of Watson because of flooding.
Lowville police issued a similar advisory for the village.
This morning, deputies say the advisory is no longer in effect, but drivers should stay cautious and allow extra travel time. They say many roads are still closed.
Lowville police say Hemlock Drive and a small portion of Stowe Street remain closed until further notice.
