Tyrone Tracy Jr. nominated for Rookie of the Week
Tracy has now topped 100 yards from scrimmage in four of six games since taking over as the Giants’ lead running back, including three outings with over 100 yards on the ground.
He is averaging 18.2 total touches and 98.7 total yards per game during that span while registering 22 total missed tackles forced.
Despite playing only limited snaps in the first four games, Tracy ranks 20th in the NFL with his 545 rushing yards, which also leads all rookies. His 5.1 yards per carry on the season is tied for 8th in the NFL among players with 60 or more rush attempts.
The other players nominated for the Week 10 Pepsi Rookie of the Week include:
- Broncos QB Bo Nix – Completed 22 of 30 passes (73.3 percent) for 215 yards and two touchdowns for a 115.3 passer rating
- Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving – 87 total scrimmage yards (73 rushing, 14 receiving) and one rushing touchdown
- 49ers WR Ricky Pearsall – Caught four passes for 73 yards and a touchdown
- Texans CB Kamari Lassiter – Registered two interceptions, two passes defensed and one tackle
- Rams OLB Jared Verse – Recorded one sack, two tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and four total tackles
