Wan’Dale Robinson IG live video, explained: Giants WR’s stream gets shut down by Brian Daboll | Sporting News United Kingdom
“Act live you’ve been there before” is a common mantra coaches tell players. The intention is to keep players humble so they don’t get wrapped up in a win and lose focus on whatever is coming next.
The New York Giants picked up a big win over the Seattle Seahawks on the road in Week 5, moving to 2-3 on the season despite remaining in last place in the NFC East.
It’s not uncommon in the social media era for players to either post or go live after games. We don’t see it as much with teams that lose, but the winning team often has some player that goes live on Instagram or another app.
After New York’s win, wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson went live on IG, but his coach didn’t appreciate it.
Wan’Dale Robinson IG Live video, explained
Robinson was celebrating with his team in the locker room, dancing and playing music after beating Seattle. Robinson puts the camera down to capture the celebration, but you can see head coach Brian Daboll coming in the locker room in the background.
Daboll immediately makes his way to Robinson and yells at him to stop posting the video. Robinson jumps into action and quickly ends stream.

Post-game IG lives
Players don’t have access to their phones during the game. When they get back into the locker room, they are either celebrating or trying to quickly move past a loss. Players also have started promoting their own social media pages. One of the more memorable was when JuJu Smith-Schuster was with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Smith-Schuster was known for his pregame TikTok dances, and was highly criticized for doing them on opposing team’s logos. He also would go live after games while players in the locker room played music. There was even a famous time that he got head coach Mike Tomlin to dance in January 2022.
Antonio Brown famously got in trouble for going live-streaming after a Pittsburgh game in 2017. While he was live, Tomlin was caught making a “profane reference to the New England Patriots.” At the time, live-streaming from the locker room violated both team and NFL rules.
