Saquon Barkley spent six years with the New York Giants after the organization selected him No. 2 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.
The Penn State product became the first running back to be drafted with a top two overall pick since Reggie Bush in 2006. The position has been widely devalued over the past decade, with some even criticizing the Giants for taking Barkley this high with so many solid quarterback prospects available.
A majority of those top quarterbacks have been busts, and Barkley proved to be a Pro Bowl-caliber back when healthy. He’s played in at least 13 games in five out of his six seasons.
After six years, Barkley hit unrestricted free agency in 2024 and ended his tenure with the Giants. He signed a three-year, $37.75 million contract with the Eagles
to stay in the NFC East.
Not only did Barkley leave for the Giants’ rival, but he’ll face New York twice in the regular season.
Here’s what to know about the Eagles vs. Giants matchups, including dates, times, and tickets.
