When will Malik Nabers return? Latest injury updates on Giants WR for Week 7
NFL Week 7 picks and predictions
Lorenzo Reyes is 13-6 so far on the season, and is back with his best bets for NFL Week 7 games.
Week 7 of the NFL season features three divisional games on Sunday’s slate. One of those matchups is in the NFC East with the New York Giants (2-4) hosting the Philadelphia Eagles (3-2).
There’s already an intriguing storyline in that game, with longtime Giants running back Saquon Barkley returning for the first time in an Eagles uniform. With Barkley gone, the Giants offense runs through rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, who’s been out since Week 5 after suffering a concussion.
However, Nabers could be back in the lineup in this critical divisional tilt. Here’s the latest on his status.
When will Malik Nabers return?
There’s a growing likelihood that Nabers will return this week. He was a limited participant in practice Wednesday to a non-contact role and practiced fully on Thursday.
Giants coach Brian Daboll says Nabers is in the final stage of concussion protocol. He still needs to be cleared by an independent neurologist. Once he is, he can return to the field, but his participation fully on Thursday is a good sign that he can be cleared sooner rather than later.
When was Malik Nabers’ injury?
Nabers suffered his concussion on Sept. 26 in Week 5’s “Thursday Night Football” game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants lost 20-15 and split the two games in Nabers’ absence with a win over Seattle and a loss to Cincinnati.
Malik Nabers stats
Nabers has 35 catches for 386 yards and three touchdowns in four games this season.

Giants WR depth chart
Nabers isn’t the only wide receiver for the Giants on the injury report. Bryce Ford-Wheaton (shoulder), Wan’Dale Robinson (ankle), and Darius Slayton (groin) were all limited in practice Wednesday.
Here’s how the rest of New York’s depth at the position looks:
Wide receivers Kearis Jackson and Isaiah Hodgins are also on the practice squad. New York’s starting running back is also a question for Week 7, with Devin Singletary (groin) limited in practice on Wednesday. Rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr. has started in his place.
