Where do Sixers stand in NBA Cup standings after loss to Knicks?
The Philadelphia 76ers opened the NBA Cup with a 111-99 loss to the New York Knicks at home on Tuesday. The game saw Philadelphia drop to 2-8 on the season overall while also being 0-1 now in the Group A standings for the second annual in-season tournament.
Joel Embiid made his season debut after missing the first nine games and had 13 points on 2-for-11 shooting while Paul George had 29 points on 10-for-19 shooting with 10 rebounds in the loss for Philadelphia.
The loss puts the Sixers behind the 8-ball here early as they all race to head to Las Vegas to bring home the NBA Cup. The Sixers are behind both the Knicks as well as the Orlando Magic in the early standings with three more group games left to go.
