NY Giants’ keys to victory

The Giants are coming off their most complete game of the season. The dominance shown by their offensive and defensive lines is a blueprint to success that could allow them to compete week in, week out. WR Darius Slayton (122 yards receiving) stepped up in Malik Nabers’ absence, but the latter’s return would provide a big boost. Expect QB Daniel Jones to once again use his legs to keep Cincinnati honest. This game will come down to whether a maligned secondary can respond for the second straight week against one of the league’s most explosive offenses.

Bengals’ keys to victory

Former Giants DB coach Lou Anarumo of Staten Island has led very good Cincinnati defenses, but it has been an Achilles’ heel this season. That’s why QB Joe Burrow is carrying the offense on his back with the help of WR JaMarr Chase. The Bengals would be best served to get out of the gates early and try to turn the MetLife crowd against the Giants.

Matchup to watch

Giants WR Malik Nabers vs. Bengals CB Cam Taylor-Britt. Taylor-Britt likes to talk smack, and his mouth at times tends to write checks his play can’t cash. In steps Nabers, who should continue on the trajectory he was traveling prior to sustaining a concussion against the Cowboys.

NY Giants vs Bengals prediction

Talk about momentum shifts. If that ever truly mattered in the NFL, this is a week where everything seems to point to the Giants coming up with their best effort at home in a while. How much more do the Bengals have in the tank to overcome a jarring overtime loss to the Ravens? They certainly have the weapons to make the Giants pay all over the field, but we’ll go Big Blue in this one in a close one.
